ENICAR SHERPA STAR Deep Sea Divers´ Watch – Limited Edition
A very rare watch coming from Switzerland.
ENICAR was founded by Ariste Racine in Longeau in the year 1914.
His great-grandfather was very famous around 1800, he was a reknown artist in the field of painting faces of watches by hand.
He died in Neuenburg in the year 1832.
One of his greatest ouevres is a tiny face of a watch with a diametre of not more than 6 lines, which is still familiy owned and esteemed as a rare memorandum to him.
Only by watching it via a magnifying glass, this face will become vivid for the eye.
Now you can clearly realize that on the tiny face another 4 faces are painted – thus, all in all 5 faces are pictured.
The previous model to the Enicar Sherpa Star was a „Sherpa-Jet„ built between 1957 and 1965, which is a pilot´s watch with a second time zone.
Enicar is a Swiss brand producing watches for special requirements and high-end demands.
This watch was tested under the worst conditions and great strain was put on it. For example, the
deep sea divers Dr. Hans Haas from Germany and his Russian colleague Prof. Dr. Repikow used it up to a depth of 3.450 metres below sea level.
Even at the ascent of mount „Nanga Parbat„ a Sherpas was trusted on.
